Terms of Service
Last updated: June 16, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Threat Block ("Service") operated by Threat Block Intelligence ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our Service at app.threatblock.co or threatblock.co, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By using our Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and (for visitors to our public website) our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use our Service.
Description of Service
Threat Block is an AI-assisted open-source intelligence (OSINT) workspace for professional investigators. The Service includes, without limitation:
- Case workspace, entity records, notes, and file storage you choose to upload
- Discovery and enrichment actions against public and third-party data sources you authorize
- AI research assistant features to summarize findings, suggest next steps, and draft reports
- Graph and reporting tools to visualize relationships and export deliverables
- Credit-based usage for certain actions; subscription plans and overage as described in the app
You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable law, professional rules, and the terms of any data provider you connect. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party data, or any particular investigative or legal outcome.
Professional Credentialing and Access Approval
Access to the Service — including all intelligence search features — is restricted to licensed and credentialed professionals. To obtain access, you must:
- Submit a complete application including verifiable professional credentials (e.g., private investigator license, state bar number, or equivalent corporate security documentation)
- Upload supporting credential documentation as required during the application process
- Receive explicit written approval from Threat Block Intelligence before using any intelligence features
Approval is granted at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to deny, revoke, or suspend access at any time if we determine, in our sole judgment, that an applicant or subscriber no longer meets our credentialing standards, has misrepresented their credentials, or has used the Service in violation of any applicable law or these Terms.
Providing false, misleading, or outdated credentialing information is grounds for immediate termination of access and may expose you to civil or criminal liability.
Accounts and Registration
To use the Service you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. Account access is personal and non-transferable; you may not share login credentials with any other person.
Organizational Accounts and Member Liability
When an organization subscribes to the Service, the organization and its owner (the "Organization Subscriber") assume full legal responsibility for the actions of all users they invite or grant access to ("Authorized Users"). The Organization Subscriber represents and warrants that:
- Each Authorized User will only use the Service for lawful purposes consistent with these Terms
- Authorized Users will not share, disclose, or misuse any data obtained through the Service
- The Organization Subscriber has independent authority to grant the Authorized User access to sensitive investigative data
- The Organization Subscriber will promptly remove any Authorized User who leaves the organization or who violates these Terms
Each Authorized User invited to an organization must independently agree to these Terms before their access is activated. By accepting an organizational invitation, each Authorized User individually represents that they are an employee, contractor, or agent of the organization and that their use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and professional rules.
The Organization Subscriber is jointly and severally liable with any Authorized User for violations of these Terms arising from the Authorized User's use of the Service.
Billing and Subscription
Paid plans and overage are billed through Stripe. By subscribing or adding a payment method, you agree to the applicable fees and billing cycle. Fees are generally non-refundable except as required by law or as we may agree in writing. We may change pricing with notice; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Investigation credits are consumed per our then-current rules and do not carry over unless stated in the plan.
Lawful Purpose and Permissible Use
The Service accesses non-public personal information through licensed data providers. You may only use the Service for lawful, permissible purposes as defined by applicable federal and state law. Permissible purposes include, without limitation:
- Licensed private investigation services conducted in accordance with your state PI license
- Legal proceedings, including pre-litigation investigation, asset location, and due diligence
- Background screening conducted in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA") where applicable
- Fraud prevention and corporate security investigations by authorized professionals
- Skip tracing and location services for legitimate debt collection compliant with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCPA")
You expressly acknowledge that the data accessible through this Service may be subject to the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the FCRA, and applicable state privacy laws. You agree to comply with all such laws and to use data only for the permissible purpose you represent at the time of each search.

Audit Logging and Monitoring
All intelligence searches and data access actions performed through the Service are logged in an append-only audit trail associated with your account and organization. These logs record the action type, the user who performed the action, the query or subject of the search, and the timestamp. Logs are retained for a minimum of two (2) years.
We reserve the right to review audit logs for compliance purposes, to investigate suspected violations of these Terms, or in response to a lawful legal request. By using the Service, you consent to this monitoring. You may access your organization's audit log via the Settings panel in the application.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will achieve any particular investigative or business result.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Threat Block Intelligence and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, fines, penalties, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law, including the DPPA, FCRA, GLBA, or state PI licensing statutes; (d) any misrepresentation you made in your credentialing application; or (e) the actions of any Authorized User you invited to your organization.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification) will survive.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Delaware (or as we may agree in writing).
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and may notify you of material changes. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
